Select Team Coaches:
In addition to two registrations at the FPYC Clubhouse on September 29 and October 20, 2012, you can also register here as a player, coach, or other volunteer. When registering online, payment must be made by credit card.
All house league players must attend an evaluation for their age group. Players will not be called to remind them about their league’s evaluation date. If a player cannot attend the evaluation for his/her age group, email the League Director of that age group. Players failing to attend an evaluation risk being put in the first round of the draft, regardless of skill level.
The registration fee is $130 per player before October 21, 2012.
On October 21, 2012, the fee will be raised to $175.
No player can play on both a house and a select team.
Lastly, scholarship players will be required to pay a $25 league fee this year (see note below).
NOTE: We had to raise the both the base fee and late fees this season, as well as charge scholarship players a nominal fee because we were significantly over budget last year as a result of the county and city charging us more to use the gyms. Apologies for the significant increase, but we have to make sure we can pay all our bills to provide your sons/daughters the best experience possible playing basketball.

NOTES:
HOUSE
House Teams will be formed in late November and begin practice in December before the Christmas holidays. Regular season games will start in December or January and run every Saturday through mid-March, with one practice on a weeknight. If you have not received a call by December 1 for team placement, please call the League Director for your age group to check.
Some house leagues may be playing games on Sundays. If this is an issue for you, please check with the League Director for your age group to see if your league will be having Sunday games.
SELECT
Select players MUST/MUST register before attending any tryout. If not selected, the player must attend the house league evaluation for his or her age group if he/she wants to play in the house league. Select teams begin practice after tryouts (in October) with games starting in December and running through March . There will be two practices a week, plus game(s).
Select players will pay a $25 non-refundable tryout fee, which will be applied toward their total registration if they make the select squad. Players who make the select squad will be required to also pay a $30 Select fee. The select tryout fee is used toward the team registration fee FPYC pays to the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League. In addition to the tryout fee, base registration, and select fees, all new players will need to purchase a uniform for price $70.

Ages for select players are as of October 1st unless the player is in the grade designated on the try out schedule.
