Rugby players love to play in the rain*, but we have to follow the Fairfax County Park Authority’s or the City of Fairfax decision about field closures (depending on the field's location).

So be sure to check the FCPA fields hotline at 703-324-5264 or the City of Fairfax hotline at 703-385-7976.  Updated each weekday by 3:00pm.  No update on weekends.

If the fields are open, or it’s the weekend, assume that practice or games will go on as scheduled.  Any further decision about cancellation will be made at the field based on current weather and field conditions.  (Remember there are local variations and the fact that storms can move fast.)

*Note:  In the event of nearby thunder and lightning, we will stop play and take shelter for at least 30 minutes after the last occurrence.
