SPRING & SUMMER BASKETBALL SKILLS CLINICS DETAILS

 

Logistics Cost & Number of Sessions: $200 and 6 sessions per Clinic  Dates: Spring: 3/9; 3/23; 4/7; 4/20; 5/4; 5/18 Summer: 6/1; 6/15; 6/29; 7/13; 7/20; 7/27 Time & age groups: Beginner: 1st–4th grade players 6:00pm - 7:00pm, Intermediate: 5th–8th grade players (including house-league 7th/8th graders) 7:00pm-8:00pm Advanced: High school players and middle school AAU/Travel/Select players 8:00PM-9:00PM Location: TBD Capacity: 20 players per age group per session

What Makes FPYC Development Different

At FPYC, we believe player development should be game-skill oriented, comprehensive, and age-appropriate. These sessions introduce players to intensive, “professional-level” training concepts—delivered in a way that is engaging, understandable, and fun.

Each session will focus on:

    •    Core basketball skills (shooting, passing, ball handling) using traditional drills with creative twists

    •    Body mechanics and movement skills, including footwork, balance, core strength, and using hips and shoulders effectively

    •    Game IQ development through live-play and decision-making drills

    •    Building a strong local basketball community among Fairfax-area players

Most importantly, we emphasize a positive, focused learning environment where players are encouraged to grow, compete, and enjoy the process.

Elite Coaching, Local Roots

These programs will be led by Nabil Ali and Shaun Ali, lifelong FPYC players and coaches.

    •    Nabil Ali brings over 25 years of youth basketball coaching experience, with a deep commitment to teaching fundamentals the right way.

    •    Shaun Ali has 20 years of coaching and player development experience, including over 10 years as a varsity high school coach at Fairfax HS and other area schools. He currently works alongside leading player development coaches from around the world, providing on-court and film-based training for NBA players, overseas professionals, college athletes, and top high school players nationwide.

They will also be joined by local high school coaches and standout players from the Fairfax area, including professional players and coaches—giving FPYC athletes exposure to high-level instruction while staying rooted in our community.

We can’t wait to get back in the gym and continue building confident, skilled basketball players this Spring and Summer. Registration details will be shared soon, and space will be limited.
