Spring 2022 Lacrosse Registration FAQs
When are practices?
We typically get permits for the turf fields at Oak Marr REC Center for three weeknights between 5:30 – 8:00, but we will not know for certain until we get our field permits in late February/early March.
We have a pre-K or kindergarten aged athlete. What happened to Little Scoopers?
Little Scoopers is now included in our Flex 6 Program.
My athlete played with FPYC in the Spring/Fall of 21 (Flex6) and really liked that. What should we sign up for?
You could sign up for the Flex6 option again. We would also encourage athletes to consider signing up for the Flex 6 and NVYLL combo, especially if they are returning athletes.
My athlete is new to the sport. What should we do?
We suggest that you sign up for the Flex 6 Program. It is focused on individual skills and small sided games.
My athlete also wants to play another sport. What if we can’t make all practices or games?
We encourage multi-sport participation and will work with your athlete to make the most of their time when they are on the lacrosse field with us.
Will you be able to field a team for the NVYLL league at each age group?
Our plan is to put teams into the NVYLL for as many age groups as possible. We will not know until we start to get numbers in for registration. As soon as we start to get a clear picture as to what teams we will be able to field, we will reach out to those athletes and their guardians.
My athlete is interested in participating in preseason conditioning at Title Boxing. What equipment do we need?
You are not required to purchase any equipment. For athletes training for the first time at Title Boxing, the cost includes gloves and a set of wraps.
What are your COVID protocols?
We will continue to monitor the pandemic and follow the current CDC, Virginia, Fairfax County, and Fairfax City recommendations. We will be sure to communicate those recommendations as the season begins and/or as recommendations change.
How can I help?
We are glad you asked. We are always looking for volunteer coaches. No experience needed. Just some patience and willingness to have fun and learn with our athletes.
